“I’m delighted to have been asked to choose the recipient of this scholarship and I’m delighted to have chosen Emily Radke. She has something very special and I’m really happy and excited for her.”

“Support on the Friday night came from the ethereal and lovely Emileo, a Dublin based singer / songwriter / storyteller from Berlin. Singing in both English and Spanish she played a mostly acoustic set with incredible skill on her small guitar before switching it up with backing tracks towards the end for a bigger, dancier sound. She is surely one to watch.”

“Listening to Emileo’s music was like being in the center of the Djemaa El Fna in Marrakech; an aural whirlwind of sunset mysticism and magic, her voice tumbling and twirling like the young acrobats jumping on to their parents’ shoulders, a bright dreamy bazaar of tastes, smells and sensations but also wherein narrow alleyways lurk shadowy figures waiting for an opportunity to survive.”
